"This wonderfully honest and often humorous chronicle is about finding a true home within ourselves. Life changing and inspiring, it will touch your heart."
I am an internationally multi-certified yoga/meditation instructor with twenty years experience teaching a wide variety of people methods to reduce stress, improve physical health, diminish negative emotions, and deepen love and compassion for themselves and all living beings. I founded and operated my own Yoga and Health Centre for eleven years in Toronto, and now devote my time to writing, teaching workshops, and a select number of group and private classes, along with guest speaking.
I have traveled extensively throughout India and Nepal, studying with masters of various spiritual disciplines. Since 2013, I have immersed myself in Tibetan Buddhist meditation under the direct guidance of Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and biology from Queens University, have training in classical ballet, and performed in theatre and film with such luminaries as the principal dancers from The National Ballet of Canada, and the internationally celebrated author, Michael Ondaatje. I am on the Creative Writing faculty at The University of Toronto, and am currently writing a memoir about my journey to Nepal.
