I am the author of The Monks and Me: How Forty Days in Thich Nhat Hanh's French Monastery Guided Me Home. Published in 2012 by Hampton Roads Publishing Company in the U.S., and Canada with foreign translations and publications in Holland, France, Germany, Brazil, Lithuania, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Turkey, and China.  Selected by Kristine Pidkameny, Editor-in-Chief, One Spirit®  as one of Bookspan's Book Clubs List of Top 12 Books of 2102. "This wonderfully honest and often humorous chronicle is about finding a true home within ourselves.  Life changing and inspiring, it will touch your heart."

The year 2000 marked the beginning of my intensive study with spiritual masters throughout the world. I have meditated in the mountains of India for days in silence, and trekked the sacred ground of Tibetan Buddhists in Nepal. I have lived in a Zen monastery in France, and immersed myself in White Tantric Yoga practices in New Mexico. Along the way, I completed a multitude of international teaching certifications, and now have twenty years experience guiding people in practices that not only improve health but also increase love and compassion for all living beings. Currently, I am studying under the direct guidance of Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche.

Having extensive ballet training, along with performing internationally in musical theatre, extensive commercial work, and live performances with such luminaries as the Principal dancers from The National Ballet of Canada, and a collaboration with the internationally acclaimed writer of The English Patient, Michael Ondaatje on the dance/poetry film Shadow Pleasures, the grace and discipline required to create dynamic public performances informs both my writing and teaching methods. I am devoted to supporting life-enhancing charities, and have produced several fund-raising Dance Galas to benefit World Literacy of Canada, and the cancer support centre Wellspring, where I also teach meditation to cancer survivors. I have a Bachelor of Arts in psychology/biology, and am currently on the Creative Writing faculty at The University of Toronto. I have recently finished writing my second memoir about my wild journey throughout Nepal, and am developing an original podcast connected with the themes of the book called: Out of Control. With everything I create, I am deeply devoted to examining and sharing how spiritual teachings can be applied to real life.
